This year, Meilan Airport has frequently introduced new international routes with an expanding range of destinations. To provide travel services for overseas passengers, Meilan Airport has set up 195 signs in both terminals covering five languages: Chinese, English, Russian, Japanese, and Korean. It has also added a bilingual Chinese-English "Passenger Service Guide" at the information counter. On the 4th floor of the T2 international and regional departure hall and in the arrival isolation area, multiple Wi-Fi number machines have been placed, allowing passengers to use valid documents such as ID cards, passports, foreign permanent residence cards, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan travel permits, and homecoming certificates to obtain an account and verification code on the device. After completing mobile phone verification, passengers can connect to the free Wi-Fi at Meilan Airport.

In addition, Meilan Airport has equipped three currency exchange points in T2, covering the main global currencies, ensuring that passengers can conveniently exchange the local currency they need. At the same time, all merchants in the terminal building of Meilan Airport support cash, foreign currency cards such as Visa/Master, and electronic payment methods such as WeChat and Alipay, enhancing the consumption experience for foreign passengers.

Up to now, Meilan Airport has five domestic and foreign airlines, including Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Jiuyuan Airlines, Thai Vietjet Air, and Thai Lion Air, operating the Haikou-Bangkok route. The Haikou-Seoul route is operated by two domestic and foreign airlines, Hainan Airlines and Korean Dewe Air.

It is understood that in mid-November, Meilan Airport will also open a Haikou-Dubai route in the United Arab Emirates, accelerating the construction of an aviation regional hub facing the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
