On December 8th, the 27th China (Hainan) International Winter Trade Fair for Tropical Agricultural Products (also known as "Hainan Winter Trade Fair") concluded. Welcoming over 170,000 people, the four-day fair saw around USD 5 million in on-site transactions and just under USD 632 million in on-site orders. Additionally, eleven projects worth USD 135 million were signed.

Attracting 2,200 enterprises with over 10,000 kinds of agricultural produce, the 2024 Winter Fair had many kinds of Hainan special tropical and processed products on display alongside smart agricultural equipment like the DJI T100 agricultural drone and C-EDGE Robotics 500 series robot.

In order to promote domestic and international cooperation, this Winter Trade Fair held over 20 activities (including the Hainan agricultural brand release event and Free Trade Port agricultural trade and investment exchanges); and invited representatives of Fortune Global 500 enterprises, representatives of 23 key agricultural wholesale markets across China, and more than 10,000 professional purchasers.

Including Vietnam as Guest of Honor, countries at this year's Fair included Kenya, South Korea, Mongolia, Russia and Singapore with more than 50 representatives of industry organizations bringing nuts, coffee, dried chili, chocolate, tea, rice, butter, and cheese. 

E-commerce empowerment not only broadens the sales channels for Hainan’s agricultural products, but also enhances brand awareness and reputation; and, during this Fair, the amount of livestream transactions hit nearly half a million US dollars.
