On April 24, a drone took off from Haikou Jiazi Heliport and took 3 hours to successfully deliver a batch of shrimp seedlings to Zhuhai Lianzhou General Airport. This is the first time that Hainan has achieved a cross sea flight of drone for public cargo logistics between Hainan and Guangdong.
The ceremony of first drone flight for public cargo logistics was held at the Hainan Wenchang International Aerospace City Management Bureau. Hainan can provide more than 300 days of air travel per year, with huge potential for development in general aircraft trade, commercial short distance transportation, tourism, marine economic development, and among others.This drone public cargo logistics flight is operated by Flyingpan Company's FP-98 large fixed wing drone, which is equipped with the Beidou-3 comprehensive management platform. With the ability of low altitude operation management, comprehensive control, flight services, and airspace management, a batch of high value-added agricultural and sideline products will be transported from Hainan to Zhuhai, Guangdong using drones. The FP-98 is the first large-scale drones system in China, which can be applied in transportation delivery, emergency air drop, communication relay, and special test loading scenarios, greatly improving the efficiency of logistics transportation across cities or remote areas.
